A Special National Investigation Agency (NIA) Court in Delhi today convicted Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik in a terror funding case. Finding Malik guilty, the court directed Yasin Malik to submit an affidavit about the details of his financial assessment. The court also directed the NIA to submit a report related to its financial assessment of Malik. The development came after Special NIA Judge Praveen Singh had framed charges against Malik and others under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) in March this year. On May 10, Malik pleaded guilty to all the charges that were charged against him.
The arguments on the quantum of sentences will be heard on 25th May.
