Sensex tanks 1,158 points; Nifty trades at 15,808

At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange tanked 1,158 points, or 2.1 per cent, to trade at 52,930, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange slumped 359 points, or 2.2 per cent, to 15,808. In the broader market on the BSE, the Midcap index dropped 2.2 per cent and the Smallcap index slipped two per cent.
