Kerala issues fresh guidelines for schools amid surge in COVID-19

Kerala Government has issued fresh guidelines for schools, in the wake of Covid-19 surge. Students in Class one to nine will switch over to online classes from tomorrow.

The Covid Review Meeting to be held this evening will decide on stepping up of containment measures and restrictions in the State, where a third wave of the pandemic has been confirmed.

With 34,199  more persons tested positive for Covid-19  yesterday, Kerala’s active cases have gone up to one lakh sixty-eight thousand 383.  Test Positivity Rate surged to a record 37.17%.  The State has so far reported 645 persons infected with Omicron variant.
