Karnataka Govt to allocate 200 acres land near KIA for semiconductor industries

Karnataka State Government has expressed willingness to allocate 200 acres of land near Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru to facilitate the growth of semiconductor industries. Speaking in a webinar organized by the Electronic Industries Association of India, the minister for IT, BT, Science and Technology, Dr. C N Ashwatha Narayana said today that the Government is willing to provide land, water, power, and other amenities if there are parties interested in setting up semiconductor industries in the state. The minister informed that along with the incentives given by the Central Government for the growth of the electronic industry, the Karnataka State Government has earmarked 2000 crore rupees as subsidy for a period of five years to support the development of the semiconductor industries in the state.
