India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crosses 97 crore 14 lakh; Recovery rate stands at 98.07 percent

More than 97 crore 14 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 30 lakh 26 thousand doses were administered yesterday.
India reported more than 16 thousand new cases during the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at two lakh three thousand 678 and it is the lowest in 216 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.60 per cent, the lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.07 per cent, the highest since March last year. Over 19 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 33 lakh 82 thousand one hundred.
The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.42 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 112 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.43 per cent which is less than three per cent for last 46 days.
The death toll due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 51 thousand 814. In the last 24 hours, 379 deaths were reported.
Over 58 crore 88 lakh COVID tests have been conducted across the country so far. More than 11 lakh 80 thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
