India marches towards 100-crore mark COVID-19 vaccination coverage; Over 95 crore 89 lakh jabs given till date

More than 95 crore 89 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 65 lakh 86 thousand doses were administered yesterday.

India reported more than 14 thousand new cases during the last 24 hours and it is the lowest in 224 days. India’s Active caseload stands at two lakh 14 thousand 900 and it is the lowest in 212 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.63 per cent, the lowest since March last year.

The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.04 per cent, highest since March last year. Over 26 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 33 lakh 20 thousand 57.
The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.48 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 109 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.21 per cent which is less than three per cent for last 43 days.

The death toll due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 50 thousand 963. In the last 24 hours, 181 deaths were reported.

Over 58 crore 50 lakh COVID tests have been conducted across the country so far. More than 11 lakh 81 thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
