Gandhi Jayanti celebrated at Embassy of India in Beijing

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated at Embassy of India in Beijing at a ceremony attended by both Indian and Chinese people.

Ambassador Vikram Misri paid floral tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 152nd birth anniversary at Jintai Art Museum in Beijing.

Later Embassy of India, Beijing organized a cultural programme to celebrate and remember the thoughts of Mahatma.

Amb. Misri addressed the gathering on the significance of Bapu and his values in the 21st century.

Swami Vivekanand Cultural Centre (SVCC) of the Embassy also organized cultural programs where Chinese students of Indian music performed Bhajans.

Today’s celebration also kicks off a special week of events in the context of celebration of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” as India marks 75 years of its independence.
