Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated CIPET: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology, Jaipur, and also laid the foundation stone of four new medical colleges in Banswara, Sirohi, Hanumangarh & Dausa districts of Rajasthan today via video-conferencing.

These Medical Colleges have been sanctioned under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for “Establishment of new medical colleges attached with district/ referral hospitals”.Medical colleges are prioritized in underprivileged, backward, and aspirational districts. Till now, 157 additional medical colleges have been approved across the country as part of the Scheme’s three phases.

The Government of India has developed CIPET: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology, Jaipur, in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan. It is self-sustaining and dedicated to the petrochemical and related industries’ demands. It will provide youth with technical education to become skilled professionals.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot were also present on the occasion.
