He added that after a detailed discussion with experts the need to strictly follow and enforce COVID Appropriate Behaviour was emphasized upon especially in wake of the upcoming festive season to prevent any resurgence of infection. The City Health Department was asked to ensure adequate availability of beds, medicines, oxygen etc to tackle any emergent situation and to enhance the pace and coverage of vaccination.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has said the final decision on reopening of schools for classes 6th to 8th in the national capital will be taken after festival season. Mr. Baijal chaired a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority to review the COVID-19 situation in Delhi yesterday. In a series of tweets, he said as suggested by the experts, it was decided to consider opening middle school classes 6 to 8, after the festive season.
