More than 87 crore seven lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over one crore two lakh 22 thousand doses were administered yesterday.
India reported daily new cases less than 20 thousand cases after 201 days. During the last 24 hours, over 18 thousand new cases were reported. India’s Active caseload stands at two lakh 92 thousand 206 and it is the lowest in 192 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.87 per cent, the lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 97.81 per cent, highest since March last year. Over 26 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 29 lakh 58 thousand and two.
The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.88 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 95 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.42 per cent which is less than three per cent for last 29 days.
The death toll due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 47 thousand 373. In all, 179 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
Over 56 crore 57 lakh COVID tests conducted so far. Over 13 lakh 21 thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
