Gujarat: Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai presents CAG report for 2019-20 in assembly

In Gujarat, the Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai today presented the CAG report for the year 2019-20 in the assembly on the concluding day of the two day monsoon Session of the state assembly.

Our correspondent reports that after the question hour, the house has taken up Indian Partnership Gujarat Amendment Act, 2021 bill for the discussion.

Earlier the speaker had suspended four Congress MLA who rushed to the well and shouted slogans against the government over the issue of Covid compensation. Later, their suspension was revoked following discussion with the ruling as well as opposition parties. The house was also adjourned for a short time in the morning following the ruckus by opposition parties over the demand of compensation to the families of those who lost their lives due to COVID.
