More than 85 crore 60 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in country so far

More than 85 crore 60 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 68 lakh 42 thousand doses were administered yesterday.
It said, the country reported over 28 thousand new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. The country’s active caseload is currently at three lakh 3 thousand 4 hundred 76. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.90 per cent.
The Ministry said, over 26 thousand people have recovered from the infection during the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to over three crore 29 lakh. The recovery rate currently stands at 97.77 per cent.
It said, weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.98 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 93 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.90 per cent and it is less than three per cent for last 27 days.
260 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. The death toll due to the pandemic has reached 4 lakh 46 thousand 918.
