Ministry of Commerce and Industry will celebrate week-long Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from today. Special events and programmes will be organised throughout the week. Department of Commerce will observe the ‘Vanijya Saptah’ beginning today. A slew of programmes and events are being organized across the country highlighting Aatmanirbhar Bharat, showcasing India as a rising economic force and green and Swachh SEZs. Handholding sessions are being organised focusing on ‘From Farm to Foreign Lands’ and exporter conclaves, ‘Vanijya Utsav’, covering all 739 districts of the country.
During the Vanijya Utsav to be held on 24th and 26th September, exporter conclaves will be held in more than 700 districts. This includes mega events in 100 districts, organized by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade along with Export And Market Development Assistance and state governments. It will include 2-3 hours of handholding sessions for local exporters and entrepreneurs on foreign trade issues. Also, five National Seminars and Exhibitions will be organized by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in five regions of the country, – North, South, East, West and North-East.
Another major campaign of the ‘Vanijya Saptah’ will be the 35 Export Promotion events being organized on 21st and 22nd September by all the 14 Export Promotion Councils showcasing India as a Rising Economic Force.
