In Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath government completes four-and-a-half years today. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state has achieved various milestones of development in these four-and-a-half years. In an article written in newspapers, the Chief Minister said, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the second largest economy amongst all the states. He said, in the Ease of Doing Business Index, the state has improved its position from 14th to 2nd.
The Chief Minister said, the state government has provided jobs to over 4.50 lakh youths and more than 1 crore 61 lakh youth have got employment in the private sector. Apart from this, more than 6 million people have been linked to self-employment.
The Chief Minister said, during his tenure the country faced the Covid19 pandemic, but the state government successfully handled this challenge and turned this disaster into an opportunity. Mr. Adityanath said, the state is developing a strong infrastructure base consisting of Highways, Expressways, Link Expressways and Airways along with East and West Dedicated Freight Corridors.
The Chief Minister said that the state has successfully changed its image of BIMARU state. He said, in the last four-and-a-half years Uttar Pradesh has emerged as an attractive destination for investors.
The Chief Minister said, the government is ensuring safety, prosperity and welfare to all sections of the society.
He said, farmers have always been at the center of the schemes and programs of the government. Farmers and agriculture were given preference from the first cabinet itself. The state government waived the loans of the farmers and took a number of steps towards doubling their income.
The Chief Minister said that the dues of Rs. 1.45 lakh crore have been paid to sugarcane farmers, which is a record in itself.
Mr. Adityanath said, in 2020-21, the state recorded its highest foodgrain production of 618.19 Lakh metric tonnes. He also said that the state government has made record purchases from the farmers at the minimum support price (MSP).
