India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 80 Crore mark. Over 80 crore 33 lakh 75 thousand doses have been administered till now. Health Ministry said, more than 60 crore vaccine doses have been administered as first dose and over 20 crore vaccine doses given as second doses. The Ministry said, more than 77 lakh 25 thousand Vaccine Doses were administered yesterday.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has congratulated the entire country and healthcare workers for the achievement of 80 Crore landmark milestone. He said, the last 10 Crore COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in just 11 days.
The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June this year. As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, government has been supporting the States and Union Territories by providing them COVID Vaccines free of cost.
