President Ram Nath Kovind will address the valedictory ceremony of Indian Audit & Accounts Service officers at the National Academy of Audit & Accounts in Shimla today. The President will also present medals to trainee officers who have excelled during their training programme. Mr Kovind is on a four-day visit to Himachal Pradesh.
AIR correspondent reports that, the valedictory ceremony will be held at Yarrows Complex of National Academy of Audit & Account in Shimla at 11.00 am in the morning where the President as a chief guest will address the Indian Audit & Accounts Service officer’s trainee. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, and Comptroller and Auditor General of India Girish Chandra Murmu will grace the event.
On the occasion, 38 officer trainees of the 2018 and 2019 batch of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service will be awarded their induction training completion certificates in the presence of the President. The three top-performing officer trainees from each batch will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals by the President. It may be recalled that officer of Indian Audit & Accounts Service provide leadership to the institution of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, and work at the top and middle leadership level across the organization to assist the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in discharging his constitutional responsibilities.
