As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a multi-faceted function is being organized at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh today. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the event among others. The ceremony is being commemorated in memory of the sacrifices of tribal heroes Shankar Shah and Raghunath Shah. AIR correspondent reports that Union Home Minister will pay floral tributes at the statues of Veer Balidani Raja Shankar Shah and Raghunath Shah in Jabalpur.
During his day-long visit, Shri Shah will also participate in the programme to honour Tribal Leaders who participated in the Independence Movement on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Independence. He will also launch the Ujwala 2.0 scheme as well as participate in the conference of Booth Presidents of the BJP in the Jabalpur Parliamentary Constituency. An exhibition on the struggle of independence in this region and Gond Heritage, book launch, film screening on martyrs and releasing of an e-album will also be the added attractions of this day.
