In Tripura, with the continuous decrease in fresh cases of Corona virus infection, the physical classes of elementary education from Class 1st to 5th have resumed from today. However, for attending the classes a written permission letter of the guardian is required.
Earlier, the State Education Department allowed reopening of schools for Classes 6th to 12th with effect from25th of August across the state.
AIR correspondent reports that with the directives, teaching is now starting in all classes in the school except for the nursery classes. Incidentally, with the permission of the State Disaster Management Authority, classes from 6 th to 12th Grade have been started in schools from August 25 as the Corona outbreak is under control. In case of lack of adequate classrooms in the school, instructions were issued to make arrangements in two sessions. Meanwhile, teaching has started in all the colleges from August 25. Earlier, teaching from Class 3rd to 12th was started in the school. However, the Class 1st and 2nd students did not get a chance to go to school for 18 long months.
The order applies to State Government, government-funded and private schools and Madrasas. Now, even at the elementary level, teaching is starting in schools.
According to the notification of the Department of Elementary Education, special importance will be given to students who are weak, drop out and away from school from the very beginning of school. Also, the COVID rules must be followed. The Department ordered that head teachers and in-charges should ensure student seating, routines and curriculum. Similarly, class tests and weekly exams have to be ensured. Mask wearing has also been made compulsory for Class 1st to 5th students. Head teachers have been instructed to arrange sanitizer, thermal scanning and hand wash in the school.
