BJP Gujarat legislature party to meet at 3 PM today to elect new Chief Minister

Gujarat BJP legislature party will meet today at 3 pm to elect a new leader following the resignation of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Party’s central observers Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Joshi reached Gandhinagar this morning and held meetings with senior party leaders. Meanwhile, the State BJP spokesperson Yamal Vyas has said that the name of the new leader will be announced in the legislature party meeting.

Hectic political activities are being witnessed in the state capital Gandhinagar before the crucial legislative party meeting of the state BJP. Party’s central observers Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Joshi are meeting different leaders of central and state to make sense on the leadership issue. All senior BJP leaders have reached state BJP headquarter Kamalam in Gandhinagar and met the central observers. All important meetings of the state legislative party will be held at 3 PM in the presence of BJP’s central observers to elect the new leader to succeed Vijay Rupani as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Senior BJP leaders including MPs from Gujarat are also expected to attend the meeting. State BJP president C.R.Patil has asked all MLAs to remain present in the meeting.
