The night before the ‘D-day’ in Tokyo for Sharad Kumar, Bihar’s first-ever Paralympic Medalist, was all, long, dreadful and disappointing. As he wept the whole night owing to a leg injury, and dreading that this might shatter his dream of winning the medal for the country. But what happened next was the result of his strong determination, not only he displayed a spectacular performance at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games but also clinched a bronze medal for the country in the Men’s High Jump T42 classification.
