NHSRCL organizes training programs for engineering students in Asia’s biggest Geo-technical Investigation Lab at Surat

The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited – NHSRCL organizes the training programs for engineering students in Asia’s biggest Geo-technical Investigation Lab at Surat in Gujarat. According to sources, the NHSRCL is organizing training programs for the civil engineering students at the Geo Technical investigation lab set up by Larson & Toubro in Surat for Mumbai- Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project.

The laboratory is considered as Asia’s biggest Geo-technical Laboratory and has generated employment for 900 persons including Engineers, Technician and skilled laborers. This lab is equipped with the state of the art investigation equipment. The facility can conduct 3500 tests per day through 20 geotechnical engineers and 188 lab technicians.

About 15 Laboratories at Valsad, Surat, Vadodara, Anand and Ahmedabad have upgraded their infrastructure to comply international standards required for the project. Fully Automatic and Semi-Automatic ground testing machines have been deployed at project sites.
