Kerala filed affidavit in Supreme Court today for conducting the Plus one examinations in offline mode adhering to Strict Covid protocols. The Supreme Court on Sep 3rd had stayed the Kerala Government’s decision to conduct plus-one examinations citing the unabated Covid situation in the State.The court had stayed the conduct of exam till Sep 13th.
The State Government today has appealed to the apex court seeking permission for the conduct of examination in the Offline mode citing the reason that those students without access to computers, mobiles and internet connectivity will not be able to attend the exams and final marks cannot be determined on the basis of model exam.
As per the affidavit the Government expressed hope that it will be able to conduct all the exams before October. The affidavit was filed before the Supreme Court by the Principal Secretary, Department of General Education, Government of Kerala. The hearing of the case would be taken up day after tomorrow.
