India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crosses 70 crore mark

In a landmark achievement, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 70 crore mark. Union Health Ministry said, around 54 crore vaccine doses have been administered as first dose and over 16 crore vaccine doses given as second doses. More than 67 lakh Vaccine Doses were administered till 7 pm yesterday.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya congratulated the entire country and healthcare workers for the achievement of 70 crore landmark milestone. He said, the last 10 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in just 13 days. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st of June this year.
