UP: Flood situation improves as water level of most rivers reported to be steady

In Uttar Pradesh, flood situation has improved as water level of most of the rivers is either steady or reporting a falling trend. The local administration is carrying out relief operations at war footing.

As per the report of Central Water Commission, river Rapti is still flowing above the danger mark in Gorakhpur and Siddharthnagar districts, but the water level of the river is on the falling trend. In Balrampur too, the water level of the river is receding.

Ghaghra, in Turtipar Ballia and Ayodhya is flowing above the danger mark but reports a falling trend. Ghaghra, in Elginbridge Barabanki is flowing below the danger mark and the water level is receding. Budhi Gandak river in Kushinagar also reports a falling trend. Ganga in Farrukhabad and Kachhlabridge Budaun is flowing below the danger mark and reports a falling trend. However, the river Kwano in Gonda district continues to flow in severe situation.
