At Kargil in Ladakh, one of the remotest village is providing education with Subject Specific Classrooms in the school. The successful and unique way of teaching has attracted not only the attention of students but of the country as well.

Muhammad Ali introduced the concept after his posting at Karith school in 2016. The concept is that the students go to subject-wise classes where with relevant teaching-learning material (TLM) teacher is present, instead of teacher coming to the classroom.

The school has 10 subject-specific classrooms that include science, mathematics, social studies, language, games, ABC Class, 123 Class, Urdu, Library, smart classroom. It has 41 students and nine teachers.

Students are not just involved in academics, they are actively participating in it as well.
