Maharashtra reports 4,130 new cases of coronavirus infection

Maharashtra on Saturday reported 4130 new cases of coronavirus infection taking the total cumulative caseload to 64,82,117.

According to the state’s public health department, 2506 patients were discharged today, taking the number of recovered patients to 62,88,851. On the other hand, the death toll rose by 64 to 1,37,707. The state currently has an active caseload of 52,025.

Maharashtra’s recovery rate stands at  97.02 percent while the case fatality rate stands at 2.12 percent.

Out of 5,46,60,825 laboratory samples 64,82,117  have been tested positive (11.86 per cent) for COVID-19 until today.

Currently 3,02,196 people are in home quarantine and 2,103 people are in institutional quarantine.
