Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launches ‘AYUSH AAPKE DWAR’ campaign

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launched ‘AYUSH AAPKE DWAR’ campaign from Mumbai on Friday by distributing medicinal plant saplings to citizens. The National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) distributed medicinal saplings and Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Science (CCRA), Ministry of Ayush distributed Ayurvedic medicines to the public. This was as part of the National campaign which was launched by the AYUSH Ministry today.

Mr. Sonowal also visited Mumbai Port Trust (MPT) and reviewed various projects undertaken by it. The Officials of MPT apprised regarding the salient features of the newly constructed 5th Oil berth, which is the largest berth in terms of capacity. The minister took stock of the infrastructure and upcoming projects at the Domestic Cruise Terminal of Mumbai Port Trust which caters to domestic tourists to Goa.  He also reviewed progress of work of the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal. The state-of-the-art structure is being built by Mumbai Port Trust with 50% funding under Sagarmala and is expected to be completed by December 2021.

Mr. Sonowal also witnessed a special programme organised by Mumbai Port Trust as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
