Over 23 lakh 44 thousand doses of Covid vaccines administered across Bihar

In Bihar, over 23 lakh 44 thousand doses of Covid vaccines were administered across the state yesterday, the highest in a single day in the state so far. Health Minister Mangal Pandey said the mega drive christened Mahatika Abhiyaan involving over 28 thousand manpower. Nearly 30 lakh vaccine doses had been distributed in advance to different districts to void any shortage.

 

Mr Pandey said this would help the state government meet the target of vaccinating six crore people by December this year and tackling the predicted third wave of Covid-19.The Health Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing free vaccines, which he said could make such drive successful.

 

COVID vaccination coverage in Bihar has crossed over three crore seventy five lakh mark. Three crore 75 lakh 13 thousand 244 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the state so far. Out of these, over three crore 12 lakh 91 thousand people received their first dose and 62 lakh 21thousand their second dose.
