In Uttar Pradesh, Janmashtami is being celebrated with religious fervour. State government has also given relaxation in the night covid curfew on this occasion.
In Krishna Nagari Mathura temples are adorned with flowers and beautiful lightings. At Radha Raman temple, Radha Damodar temple and Shah Ji temple, Janmashtami would be celebrated during the day. ISKON Temple is also full of devotees including large number of foreign nationals. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be reaching Mathura this afternoon and he will be the first Chief Minister to take part in the Janmashtami celebrations at Mathura.
The state government has also relaxed the night covid restrictions at the places where traditionally Janmashtami is being celebrated in the state. Police has made elaborate security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident on this occasion.
