Prime Minister Narendra Modi has applauded the untiring efforts of all those who have worked to make Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana a success. He said, their efforts have ensured the people of India lead a better quality of life.
In a series of tweets, Mr. Modi said, today we mark seven years of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, an initiative that has forever transformed India’s development trajectory. He said, it has ensured financial inclusion and a life of dignity as well as empowerment for countless Indians. He said, Jan Dhan Yojana has also helped further transparency.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that farmers, poor, labourers and women have benefited the most from Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. He said, installments of PM-Kishan, gas subsidy and other government’s help directly reached to the accounts of beneficiaries at the time of COVID-19 pandemic without any corruption.
In a series of tweets today, Mr. Shah said, PM Jan Dhan Yojana is the world’s largest financial inclusion initiative to empower crores of poor who have been deprived of basic banking facilities for decades. He said, this scheme has proved effective in eradicating corruption and provided social and economic security to the poor and deprived sections.
