In Cricket, England have won the 3rd test at Headingley defeating India by an innings and 76 runs. Earlier, the visitors resumed their second innings at the overnight score of 215 for two and they were all out for 278 just before lunch. India lost eights wickets adding just 63 runs.
England made 432 runs in their first innings, while India had scored just 78 runs.
England skipper Joe Root continued his fine run with the bat in the series as he brought up his third century in three games.
With this win, the hosts have levelled the five match series 1-1. India had taken 1-0 lead after trouncing England by 151 runs at Lord’s in the second test. The first Test had ended in a draw.
