Tokyo Paralympics: Indian Table Tennis player Bhavinaben Patel enters quarterfinals of Women’s Singles-Class 4 event

In Tokyo Paralympics, Indian Table Tennis player Bhavinaben Patel entered the quarterfinals of Women’s Singles-Class 4 event after defeating Brazil’s Joyce de Oliveria 3-0 in Round of 16 match. The Indian paddler would be facing Borislava Peric Rankovic of Serbia at 3:50 pm.

In Archery, Jyoti Balyan secured the 15th spot in Women’s Individual Compound (Ranking Round). She ended with a 58 in her last round, with a Season Best (SB) score of 671 points. Powelifter Sakina Khatun will be in action in 50 kilogram final.

Archers Harvinder Singh and Vivek Chikara will take part in the Men’s recurve event today. In the Mixed team compound ranking round, Jyoti, Rakesh and Shyam Sundar will present India’s challenge while archers Rakesh Kumar and Shyam Sundar Swami will kick off their campaign in Men’s Compound Individual Open round at the same time. In the track and field event, TC Tek Chand will represent India in the finals of Men’s shot put F55 category at 3.30 pm.
