J&K LG Manoj Sinha lays foundation stone for 700-bedded Mega Boys Hostel of National Institute of Technology Srinagar

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone for the 700- bedded Mega Boys Hostel of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar through virtual mode yesterday. The project will enhance the sustainable campus infrastructure of one of the premier Technical Institutes in Northern India.

Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan, shared his views on the occasion through a video message. Union Minister, said, the Mega Boys Hostel, once completed, will equip NIT Srinagar with modern facilities enabling the institution to accommodate the increasing number of student intake. Mr Pradhan said, he belives Jammu and Kashmir has a fundamental role to play in the development of the nation. He said, that the youth of J&K are filled with energy and aspirations. He said, Higher Education Institutions such as NIT Srinagar must channelize their talent, knowledge, and skill for the transformation of Jammu & Kashmir and the entire country.

Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor pointed out fast-changing market dynamics and new innovations taking place globally along with the efforts being taken by the Union Territory to amplify exponential technologies ecosystem to meet the modern-day requirements
