Maharashtra CM announces next of kins of deceased state govt Group A, Group B officers will be given job

In a major decision, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday announced that the next of kins of deceased state government Group A and Group B officers will be given job. Currently, in the similar cases of Group C and Group D employees in the government service, eligible members of the family are appointed in the government service on compassionate grounds.

The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister. Various unions have been demanding the same in the wake of the death of officers during COVID-19.
