More than 59 crore 55 lakh COVID vaccine doses administered so far; Covid recovery rate stands at 97.67 pct

More than 59 crore 55 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, more than 61 lakh 90 thousand vaccine doses were administered during the last 24 hours. It said, the Covid Recovery Rate in the country stands at 97.67 percent. More than 34 thousand patients recovered during the last 24 hours.

India reported over 37 thousand new cases in the last 24 hours. The country’s active caseload is now at three lakh 22 thousand 327. Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases and it is currently at 0.99 percent. The weekly Positivity Rate is 1.92 percent and it is less than three percent for the last 61 days. The daily Positivity Rate is at 2.10 percent and it is less than three percent for the last 30 days. In the last 24 hours, 648 deaths were reported.

Till now, four lakh 35 thousand 758 people have lost their lives in the pandemic. Testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and more than 51 crore 11 lakh tests have been conducted so far.
