Two terrorists including top commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba killed in encounter in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists including a top Commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terror outfit were killed by secuirty forces at Aaluchi Bagh area in Srinagar city last night. Police said, a raid was conducted on a specific location based on the input about the presence of terrorists in the area. As the security frces approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them, triggering a gunfight, which resulted in the killing of two terrorists of LeT terror outfit.

One of the terrorist has been identified as top LeT commander and self claimed chief of The Resistance Front (TRF) Abbas Sheikh from Kulgam. The other terrorist is his Deputy and District LeT Commander, Saqib Manzoor of Barzulla Srinagar. As per police records, the slain terrorists were involved in killing of several political workers, police personnel and civilians. They were also involved in reviving terror folds in Srinagar district. Meanwhile, a nocturnal gunfight broke out last night between terrorists and security forces at Sopore in Baramulla district. The operation was underway when reports last came in.
