Govt says 78 more people including 25 Indian nationals evacuated from Kabul in Afghanistan

The Government today said that 78 more people including 25 Indian nationals have been evacuated from Kabul in war-torn Afghanistan. In a tweet, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, Air India flight is enroute to Delhi from Dushanbe in Tajikistan carrying 78 passengers. He said, evacuees were flown in from Kabul on an Indian Air Force aircraft. Mr Bagchi said, India is helping the people in safe return from Afghanistan.

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has lauded the efforts of Indian Air Force, Air India and his Ministry for successful operation of evacuation from Afghanistan called Operation Devi Shakti. In a tweet today, Dr. Jaishankar said, 78 evacuees from Kabul arrived through Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
