Govt launches Amrit Mahotsav App Innovation Challenge 2021 for Indian entrepreneurs, start-ups

The Government has launched Amrit Mahotsav App Innovation Challenge 2021 for Indian entrepreneurs and start-ups. Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar launched this challenge in New Delhi yesterday. The innovation challenge has been launched in 16 categories including Culture and Heritage, Health, Education, Social Media, Skills, News, Games, Agriculture, Business and Retail, Fintech, and Others.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chandrasekhar expressed hope that startups, budding entrepreneurs and youngsters will participate in large number in the challenge. He said, this is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a new, AatmaNirbhar Bharat by the year 2022 and to celebrate the 75th year of Independence of India, as the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. More than 500 million people are estimated to be using smartphones in India and Indians are also amongst the top downloaders of apps in the world.

The Innovation Challenge will be available on – and the last date of submission of entries is 30th September this year. The applicants need to apply online to submit their proposals by registering and logging on to the MyGov portal.
