More than 57.61 crore COVID vaccine doses administered in country so far

More than 57 crore 61 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

Health Ministry said, more than 36 lakh 36 thousand vaccine doses were administered during the last 24 hours.

It said, the Recovery Rate in the country stands at 97.54 per cent and it is highest since March last year.

More than 36 thousand patients recovered during the last 24 hours. Till now, more than three crore 15 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19.

India reported over 34 thousand new cases in the last 24 hours. Country’s active caseload is now at three lakh 61 thousand 340 which is lowest in 151 days.

Active cases constitute 1.12 per cent of total cases and it is lowest since March last year.

Weekly Positivity Rate is 1.98 per cent and it is less than three per cent for last 57 days.

Daily Positivity Rate is at two per cent and it is less than three per cent for last 26 days.

In the last 24 hours, 375 deaths were reported. Till now, four lakh 33 thousand 964 people have lost their lives in the pandemic.

Testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and more than 50 crore 45 lakh tests have been conducted so far. Yesterday, more than 17 lakh 21 thousand tests were conducted
