J&K: Joint Secretary Rohit Kumar reviews development work under MGNREGA in Jammu

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Rohit Kumar took stock of various development works being executed in J&K under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA in Jammu.

He appreciated the quality of works executed and maintenance of work records and the files.

 

He stressed the need for extending the benefit of MGNREGA to vulnerable section of the society, including SC/ST and women by including their individual works like plantation, land development etc.

 

Earlier, he also held a detailed meeting at Civil Secretariat, Jammu to review the progress and functioning of MGNREGA.
