Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has urged the Odisha Government to implement the Ayushman Bharat Health scheme in the state.
Talking to media in capital Bhubaneswar, he said that the implementation of this pan India health scheme will benefit the poor people of the state besides addressing the health concerns of odias, working outside the state.
AIR correspondent reports, the Union Education Minister Mr Pradhan, who is on a four days visit to the state in connection with the Jan ashirwad Yatra also said that the centre has allocated a sizable amount to Odisha under the 15th Finance Commission.
Briefing press persons on the financial assistance the centre has been providing to the state the Minister said that while Odisha has been given ample fund to construct 26 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana (gramin), 50 lakh new gas connections have also been provided to the poor people of the state.
This apart, farmers in Odisha are also being supported through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme at regular intervals.
