Pr DG News Services division & DG AIR, N Venudhar Reddy reviews latest activities taken up in Telangana, AP

Principal Director General, News Services Division and Director General of All India Radio, N Venudhar Reddy today exhorted the officials of the Public Service Broadcaster to update constantly with the times and provide more reliable information, meaningful programmes to bring people back to the listenership fold.

Reviewing the activities of All India Radio, Hyderabad today, he said All India Radio has been recently rated as one of the few credible media organisations in the world and asked officials to make use of the credibility to provide listeners reliable and purposeful programmes.

He asked them to introduce unsung heroes of freedom struggle as part of the Azadi Ka Amritmahotsav. Referring to one of the upcoming campaigns, Mr Reddy asked officials to create awareness among people at large about nutrition.

Earleir, he reviewed the latest activities that are being taken up in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad this morning. He is visiting AIR Hyderabad for the first time after he assumed the office.
