Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari today said that there could be many sectors where the visually impaired people can perform better than the non- divyang ones. He added, these students can achieve whatever they want through sincere efforts.
He was addressing the graduation ceremony of the National Association for the Blind Perfumery students.
Mr Koshiyari added that he will provide all possible support from his end for the development of visually impaired. National Association for the Blind in association with CPL Aromas has established a two-year Diploma Course in Fragrance for visually challenged persons, which is affiliated to the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.
The Governor awarded Diploma Certificates to 17 visually challenged trainees, who completed the course. They have been trained in the field of fragrance and provided a holistic training with a module featuring sessions from the fragrance industry, effective communication skills, grooming, computer skills, mobility and Braille.
