Country’s vaccination coverage crosses 57.16 crore so far

India’s Covid -19 vaccination coverage has crossed 57 crore 16 lakh so far.

Union Health Ministry said, more than 44 crore 39 lakh vaccine doses were administered as first dose and over 12 crore vaccine doses given as second doses so far.

The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st of June this year.

More than 48 lakh 84 thousand vaccine doses were administered yesterday.

Over 26 lakh 66 thousand vaccine doses were administered as first dose and over six lakh vaccine doses given as second dose in the age group 18 to 44 years yesterday.

Cumulatively, over 21 crore 13 lakh persons in the age group 18 to 44 years across 37 States and Union Territories have received their first dose since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive.
