In Tamil Nadu, 250th Memorial Day of Ondi Veeran, a brave freedom fighter from Palayamkottai observed today.
Union Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan and State BJP Chief Annamalai paid tribute at his memorial.
Addressing the media at Tuticorin, Dr.Murugan said that remembering freedom fighters like Ondi Veeran should be remembered for their contribution to the freedom struggle against the British Raj.
Speaking on the occasion State BJP Chief Annamalai said that the present DMK Government should strive to work for the betterment of the people of the State and should not engage in vendetta politics.
State Revenue Minister KKSSR Ramachandran and State Tourism Minister Mathivendan and several MPs also paid respects to Ondiveeran memorial.
