Flood situation remains grim and unchanged in Dhemaji district of Assam since Monday. The flush flood affected 30 villages and National Highway 15 closed due to submersion at several places of the district.
Guardian Minister of the district Sanjoy Kishan today visited the flood affected district to take the stock of the situation at Baruah Block relief camp. Mr. Sanjoy Kishan interacted with the flood affected people and distributed relief materials.
District administration supplied relief materials and drinking waters to the flood affected people at the relief camps and other flood affected areas of the district. District authority also undertook sanitisation at the relief camps to contain the Covid-19.
Today, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rescued several people from flood affected areas.
