The Assam government has imposed a night curfew in the state from tonight from 7 pm and 5 am in an effort to arrest the spread of Covid-19.
The government has also revised the existing standard operating procedure SOP, which will remain in force until further orders.
The fresh order comes as Assam’s COVID-19 tally soared to 5,81,398 while death toll has reached to 5,513.
All shops, commercial establishment, offices, banks are allowed to remain open till 6pm.
Inter-district movement of private vehicles is allowed through out the state except from Kamrup (Metro) district.
Inter-district movement of public vehicles remains suspended till further orders.
The odd-even rule for playing vehicles has also been lifted.
