Aiming to further enhance Maharashtra’s tourism potential, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray launched a slew of initiatives today.
These includes launch of a new, user-friendly website of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation for faster and efficient bookings and signing of MoUs with makemytrip and goibibo to make travel plans more easier.
A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed with SkyHigh India to assist tourists with a thrilling skydiving experience and to promote adventure tourism.
Following the enthusiastic reception of Nashik Boat Club, it was announced that Ganpatipule Boat Club is all set to welcome tourists for aquatic sports.
Besides, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed with Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune to groom and impart a holistic training program to all MTDC personnel.
Praising MTDC’s efforts to enhance tourist facilities and exploring new destinations, Mr. Thackeray said plans are afoot to build a world class aquarium in Mumbai and a Tulip Garden in Satara district.
