BJP criticises Rahul Gandhi for tweeting pictures of family of 9 yr old rape & murder victim girl

The BJP today hit out at senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for tweeting pictures of the family of a nine-year-old girl who was allegedly raped and murdered in the national capital.

Addressing media in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that Mr Gandhi did politics over this matter and posted the picture of the girl’s parents on social media by violating laws.

He said, the victim’s mother herself has given a statement that no consent was taken from her family to make the picture public.

Mr Patra said, it is matter of sadness that Mr Gandhi and Congress told lie before the country that the victim’s family has given consent to make the picture public

On the issue of ongoing Jan Ashirwad Yatra of BJP, Mr Patra alleged that this yatra is being stopped from place to place without any reason in West Bengal.

He said, more than 30 party workers and Union Minister Shantanu Thakur were also arrested.

Mr Patra demanded the State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should answer on the non-democratic behavior being meted out to the elected BJP MPs and Ministers in West Bengal during this yatra.
