Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat: Students from J&K made aware about endangered species of Tamil Nadu

The ongoing ” Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat campaign” of the Government of India presently being carried-out by “All India Radio” is aimed at actively enhancing interaction between the people of diverse cultures living in different states and Union Territories of India with the objective of promoting greater mutual understanding amongst them.

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been paired with Tamil Nadu state and the exchange of activities under the theme Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat has taken place between them, in the very recent past. AIR Correspondent reports that Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) Club of Government Degree College Akhnoor on 28th of July observed “World Nature Conservation Day”. The event was held virtually through Digital Media Platforms. Discussions, quiz and talk shows were held on the topic World Conservation Day during the online sessions.

A lecture on wildlife of Tamil Nadu was delivered by Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Bharat, Nodal Officer, Prof. Pooja Devi who discussed about the endangered species of animals as well as plants of the paired state Tamil Nadu. She also discussed various schemes and initiatives taken by the government to promote these species. The main objective of the event was to aware the students about the endangered species of Tamil Nadu and to generate awareness about protecting natural resources and to conserve flora and fauna that is on the verge of extinction from the natural environment of the planet earth.
